On last December, was carried on in the Aula Magna del Colegio Civil of our University, the delivery of the medals for Civic Merit “Presea Estado de Nuevo Leon,” in which Claudia Patricia Martinez Lozano, proudly former student and a currently worker of School of Physics and Mathematics, received by the state Governor, Rodrigo Medina de la Cruz, this recognition for her work based on the title “Reto a la adversidad”
Among the assistants in the event, it should be noted the presence of Jesus Ancer Rodriguez, Dean of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León who accompanied the honored students
Claudia Martinez is the founder of the Federación de Universitarios con Discapacidad en Acción “UNIDEA”, her main goal was promote to the community a culture based on an equal opportunites which should allow the inclusion to everyone for all the activities in daily life, no matter their disabilities.
UNIDEA was crated on September 6th, 2011, its job is develop actions for give support, advice and training amied in the inclusion an equality of people with disability of any kind.
Claudia Martinez, besides of created such important organism she participates since 3 years ago in local and national forums in charge of improve the quality of life, the social development and integration of students with disabilities.
Also was recognized the educational work during 64 years of the Emeritus, Profesor and Dean of UANL José Manuel Lopez Gonzalez, who has developed his work in School of Civil Engineering.
